Never Edit/ Truncate Your Vision

“If you go to God with a thimble, you can only bring back a thimbleful.” – Randolph Wilkerson

Joel Osteen’s, a Houston pastor, October 16, 2012, daily devotion states: If I had a thousand gallons of water to give you but you only had a one-gallon container, you wouldn’t be able to receive what I had for you. The problem would not be with the supply. It would be with your ability to receive. If you would get rid of the small container and get something larger, I could give you so much more.

This blog is part of a larger vision of my life. It serves as a platform to express my desires/ wants for myself on a personal level and to a larger degree for my community. I started 365 livefoods and the desire to eat raw foods for a grander purpose. Raw foods have a higher vibrational frequency that allows the mind to become God-aligned.

My grander dream for eating raw foods is to put my life on the vibrational frequency that will create Organic Soul Foods. What is Organic Soul Foods (OSF) you ask yourself? OSF is a one-stop lifestyle store for all the community’s healthy living needs through S.O.U.L. (sustainable, organic, unrefined, local) foods. It will provide ongoing education and community service needed to improve the quality of our lives. It is a dream I’ve carried in my soul since 1998.

I have galvanized all the forces in the Universe to create the momentum that will manifest OSF. A dream deferred is NOT a dream denied. As it states in Hebrews 11: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” And, I once heard a great mayor say: “I’m hope unhinged!”  So, today I’m making a declaration. I will begin my crowdfunding campaign for OSF March 1, 2013. It will last 45 days. In those 45 days miracles beyond my wildest dreams/ visions will unfold. So, I invite my 365livefoods community to join me on this journey to manifest this God-force within me to improve our community through the quality of our lives.

Until next Sunday,

P.S. I voted! Just a reminder early voting has begun in many states. Take advantage of it! It’s our civic duty!

Positive Affirmations (Part 1)

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low, and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When  care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

When he might have won had he  stuck it out,

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far,

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,

It’s when things seem worse,

That you must not quit.

This poem has been my saving grace, when I’m having a rough time staying focused on my larger goals. It helps me remember that what I see isn’t all there is. Please share any inspirational poems you may use to encourage yourself.

Until next Sunday,

Gratitude – n. being thankful; appreciation.  Synonyms: acknowledgement, recognition, thanksgiving

July 1st  to October 1st have been my transition period to raw foods. As my “Relationships” post detailed, this journey has been more about my emotional attachment to foods than anything else. So, this post I want to do nothing but show my gratitude to this process. I am grateful…

  1. to be able to eat raw foods seamlessly.
  2. for my reward stickers I put on the calendar  for each day I eat raw foods.
  3. for organized meals that can be eaten on the go.
  4. for fruits (bananas) that are very convenient .
  5. that my appetite/ cravings are for raw foods.
  6. for Green Seed Vegan’s “rocking tacos” and Almond Joi Smoothies.
  7. for 1 week of 100% raw foods.
  8. I woke up invigorated; Houston Texans record is 5-0.
  9. I went to the gym.
  10. I’m 5 lbs lighter
  11. that Whole Foods has marinated raw veggies that are very delicious
  12. to be able to pass up cupcakes for my co-worker’s birthday.
  13. that I made a great smoothie; met neighbors canvassing for the Election.

Identify Your Village

“It takes a village to raise a child!” Ideas are children. Once ideas are ready to mature, that’s when we need our village. Everyone working to attain higher aspirations needs to surround themselves with people on a higher spiritual vibrational frequency.

The significance of identifying your village is because we all need help at sometime. We need to prepare for that time of need. Naturally the question becomes how do we identify our villagers. People in your village will make the journey with you. They don’t necessarily have the same aspirations, but are on the same spiritual frequency.

People that you may expect to be in your village, just may not be. I have come to accept this. Characteristics of your villagers are the ability to be authentic and genuine with them. Simply put, you trust them enough to share your aspirations, and know they’ll support your dreams. Their support will be less with words, and more with deeds, i.e. reads your blog every week, shops at your store, etc. They support you in both tangible and intangible ways.

You’ll know your villagers when they’re in your midst. They’ll come from surprising places, so open your mind and heart to receive them. You may be asking yourself what this has to do with eating raw foods. This post has to do with higher aspirations, and that is what eating raw foods has been for me.

If you’d like to share ways to identify your village, or any words that are empowering please leave a comment.

Until next Sunday,
